Apollo 11 Rocket Engine Parts Recovered From Atlantic Ocean

Major components of the rocket engines used to launch astronauts to the Moon in the 1960s and 1970s have been recovered from the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. The pieces of space history were discovered by a team led by Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon. The expedition team spent three weeks at sea examining the site before lifting the engine parts from the ocean bed. The F-1 engines used to power the Saturn V rockets that blasted Apollo capsules to the moon were found three miles below sea level. It is not yet known which Apollo mission they belong to but there is a possibility it could belong to Apollo 11, which was the first mission to successfully land men on Moon.
